Both the field and record delimiters can be defined to be any printable or non-printable character. Printable characters are specified using their explicit character while non-printable characters are specified using hexadecimal byte values.
The default field and record delimiters are comma and line-feed (new line) respectively.
The ‘d’ and ‘D’ switches are used to define the field and record delimiters respectively.
