FATAL: Role ... does not exist

Reason:

You attempted to connect to a database with a user does not exist.

Resolution:

Check that you have spelled the user name correctly and the correct letter case has been used.

Tips:

  • Check the spelling of the user name
  • Check the letter case of the user name
  • Try enclosing the user name in single quote characters
  • Connect to the star$administration database and use the star$users view to list known users
