ERROR: Foreign key on table ... prevents drop of primary key

Reason:

You attempted to drop a primary key constraint on a table which has a dependent foreign key constraint.

Resolution:

Drop all dependent foreign key constraints first; or use the cascade option when dropping the primary key constraint.
